Why should my kids learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu?
You've probably heard of karate and Taekwondo, but maybe you haven't heard of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which is a totally different concept. People often confuse Jiu-Jitsu with karate because the uniforms are so similar.
Kids classes in self defense
Give your children the gift of health, self confidence, and a practical and fun activity they can enjoy for a lifetime.
Who else does Jiu-Jitsu?
Jiu-Jitsu is not karate. Jiu-Jitsu is widely considered the most effective and practical martial art in the world. It is also probably the most field-tested system, and for that reason has been adopted by special forces around the world including the Navy Seals, the Army Rangers, and Israeli Army counter-terrorism units. It's also the main discipline behind Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
Jiu-Jitsu is especially effective for kids, because it gives smaller opponents a greater advantage than other martial arts. Unlike striking arts like Taekwondo and Karate, Jiu-Jitsu relies on the physical principal of leverage. This means that even a relatively small child can exert disproportionate force on an attacker, just by using biomechanics.
